Apple has just announced that they will be holding a press event this Oct. 30. It is going to take place at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Howard Gilman Opera House in New York. The tech giant has even started distributing invitations to the media houses for the occasion.
Current speculations suggest that the new iPad and Mac models are going to make their grand unveiling - but nothing is made official. And although we are mostly left with rumors, some of them do come from trusted sources.
For example, top Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kou recently stated that Apple might launch a new 12.9-inch and 11-inch iPads with support for the newest form of Face ID. Their design language will also be similar to that of the iPhone X. No, there won’t be any notch, but you will notice drastically reduced bezels around the display.
Now, it is worth noting that Apple had just refreshed their iPad line up back in March. They added support for the Apple Pencil Stylus along with some other features. These devices were made available in a 10.5-inch model and a 12.9-inch model. So it seems that the new iPad 11-inch model might be replacing the 10.5-inch model if it does surface.
Besides this, we also have news from Bloomberg regarding Apple’s intention to launch a new Mac Mini Pro alongside an affordable MacBook with Retina Display. Another fact in support of this idea would be how Apple informed their stores that supplies for the iMac screen were running low. Besides this, the iMac mini might also be in the queue for a “professional” remake.
However, with all these in consideration, we are still left wondering whether or not any new product might come to the surface? For example, does the company have any new HomePods, AirPods, or vaporware AirPower for our surprise? It seems only time will tell.
One last thing worth consideration is how Apple has sent different and uniquely styled invitations to each media houses. Furthermore, each invitation says “there’s more in the making.” All these might be forecasting that the new devices will boast features and tools aimed at creative workloads.
