Filming & Production
Principal photography for Another Simple Favor began in late March 2024, after initially being scheduled for Fall 2023 in Capri, Italy. Filming concluded on May 26, 2024, with director Paul Feig marking the wrap with an Instagram post.

Another Simple Favor is an upcoming American black comedy mystery film directed by Paul Feig and co-written by Jessica Sharzer and Laeta Kalogridis. The film marks Feig’s first-ever sequel, reuniting him with screenwriter Sharzer, who penned the original A Simple Favor, alongside Kalogridis.
Produced by Feigco Entertainment’s Paul Feig and Laura Fischer, the film is based on characters created by Darcey Bell. Lionsgate and Amazon MGM Studios are behind the project, with Feig developing the script over nearly three years before production began in April 2024.

So, to be able to have Anna, Blake, Henry, Andrew, Michele, Elizabeth, Alex and myself watch our film with the great SXSW audience is a bucket list event that I’ll be able to check off March 7 and move playing drums for Dwight Yoakum’s band up to the top slot,” Paul added.
Speaking about why he took on his first sequel, Feig revealed to Variety in May 2024, “It’s a lot because also if you look at my work, I’ve never done a sequel before just for that very reason. I’ve always tried to stay away from it but this one I just loved these characters and always felt we can revisit them…we threw out the original draft that was going to get made.”
Amazon MGM Studios head Jennifer Salke praised the film, saying, “Paul Feig has once again delivered the perfect blend of mystery, wit and unexpected twists in the highly anticipated Another Simple Favor.”
