After Target announced free two-day shipping for all orders to rake in sales during the holiday shopping season, Amazon has responded with a lucrative offer on its own. Normally, you would have to purchase at least $25 worth of products to be eligible for free delivery, but that is not the case anymore. The e-commerce giant is now offering free delivery for all orders regardless of the order value.
The offer is available to US customers only, and it is unknown if other countries will receive the waiver as well. Amazon has not revealed too many details about the ongoing offer, and there is no end-date for the promotion currently. You will be eligible for standard shipping for free which normally takes anything between five to eight days from the website. It is a limited-time offer and if you are wondering where to how to find the best deals, do check out our Black Friday and Cyber Monday tips and predictions.
If you are considering websites other than Amazon, Target is offering free two-day shipping while Walmart is offering the same but for orders that amount to $35 or more only. Online shopping portals can put a lot of pressure on brick and mortar retailers because of such offers and discounts that normal stores cannot match. Amazon is currently being valued at $1 trillion and the e-commerce giant spent $7.3 billion on shipping last year in the holiday season and the ongoing promotion and is likely to stretch that number even further.
