All we know About the Horror Sci-Fi Show Cassandra 

A robot that does everything- cleans the house, cooks whatever you want to eat, and comes to help whenever called. But in return, it wants one thing. Netflix’s Cassandra is about a smart home assistant robot that does all the chores, entertains the residents, and more. However, something is not quite right about her. 

For one, why does she look like a woman who existed decades ago? And what happened to the family who lived in the house? A trailer has been released that hints at what’s to come. The show is sure to provide a hint of the old sci-fi nostalgia combined with horror and scares.

All six episodes of Cassandra will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, Feb. 6 2025. 

What is Cassandra About?

Cassandra follows a family who move into an old home whose previous residents perished under mysterious circumstances more than five decades ago. Soon they discover that the home comes with its own electronic home assistant- Cassandra, who can do anything like a fairy godmother to keep the house running smoothly. 

Developed in the 1970s to serve a family, the smart robot has remained dormant for many years. But the arrival of the new family gives her a chance to complete her purpose again. However, this time she wants something more- she doesn’t want to be left alone anymore.

Cassandra Trailer

In the trailer, we are introduced to Cassandra, a home robot that can control every electronic device in the house. She even omniously says, “I am everywhere.” Initially, the new family loves her because she is essentially a maid. 

However, as the days go by, dark secrets begin stumbling out like the picture of the woman Cassandra is based on and soon the woman herself shows up in human form. She says that her family was taken from her but she won’t let it happen again. Check out the trailer below:

Filming and Production Details 

Filming for Cassandra began in and around Cologne, Germany, in September 2023.

Cassandra is written and directed by Benjamin Gutsche. Eva Stadler, Christian Becker are the producers while Amara Palacios is the executive producer. The miniseries is produced by Rat Pack Filmproduktion. J. Moritz Kaethner is the director of photography.
