Release date & Where to Watch

The first four episodes of the eight-episode series Light Shop will be available for streaming starting Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2024, on both Disney+ and Hulu. It will also be available from Tuesday, Dec. 3, in some regions.

Plot

Light Shop follows the story of six strangers, each grappling with unresolved trauma from their pasts. Drawn to a mysterious shop located in a dark alley, they discover that the shop, guarded by a cryptic shopkeeper, may hold the answers to their struggles. 

The shop’s strange influence causes each visitor to exhibit peculiar physical traits, such as dirt falling from their ears or water dripping from their bodies. These anomalies hint at deeper, hidden connections tied to their lives.

Simultaneously, a hospital setting introduces Young-ji, who develops an unusual bond with the shop’s visitors, further unraveling the enigma surrounding their presence in the light shop. 

The series delves into the mysteries of the human condition, exploring themes of life, death, and the emotional weight of trauma.
