This justifies the show’s logline which states, “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in the sci-fi horror series Alien: Earth.”
The show is set two years before the events of the iconic 1979 Alien film. In an interview with Deadline, Noah Fawley also offered more information about the show, saying that, “whatever the host is informs what the final creature is.” The director also revealed that he was able to bring some of his thoughts to the design of the creature.
As for the tone of the show, Fawley said, “There’s something about seeing a Xenomorph in the wilds of Earth… that’s truly chilling.”
Alien: Earth will be released on Hulu in Summer 2025.
