A Galaxy Next Door Manga Gets Anime Adaptation

Romance fans are soon going to experience relationships literally out of this world! According to the latest reports, the popular romantic-comedy series, A Galaxy Next Door (known in Japan as Otonari ni Ginga), is getting a manga adaptation. The anime will be based on a manga of the same name by Gido Amagakue.

Along with the exciting announcement, the makers have also revealed some details about the upcoming series. The series follows a struggling manga author who ends up marrying an extraterrestrial woman. In addition, the cast and the main staff behind the scenes of the anime have also been revealed.

A Galaxy Next Door Gets Anime Series; Reveals Cast, Crew, and More

Anime fans, get ready to witness an out-of-the-world romance for A Galaxy Next Door is coming to our tv screens in 2023. Voice actor Taku Yashiro plays the male lead, Ichiro Kuga, while voice actor Yu Wakui plays the female lead, Shiori Goshiki. In addition to the cast, the main staff for the series has also been revealed, including:

The A Galaxy Next Door manga began in 2020 and will release its fourth tankoubon volume on May 6, 2022. It is serialized in "Good! Afternoon" and published under the Afternoon Comics label. An official website and Twitter feed (@otonariniginga) have also been created for the series.

The A Galaxy Next Door manga is available on Kodansha USA's official website, which has acquired the series' English publishing rights. The platform officially describes the story as:

"The new sweet and wild romantic comedy from the creator of the hit manga and anime about food and family, Sweetness & Lightning! A desperate manga artist, called on to support his two young siblings, meets a new art assistant. But her arrival isn’t just a small step, it’s a giant leap…"
