A Couple of Cuckoos Anime Series Release Date and Trailer Revealed!

The release date for the upcoming romantic-comedy anime adaptation of A Couple of Cuckoos has finally been announced! The news comes via the anime's official website, revealing a preview of the series. In addition, the preview also reveals the anime's ending theme song, Shikaku Unmei (Square Destiny), by the Japanese music unit Sangatsu no Phantasia, featuring the vocalist Mia.

A Couple of Cuckoos is originally a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Miki Yoshikawa. It was originally published as a one-shot in September 2019, before beginning serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in January 2020. Fans looking to read the manga can check it out on Kondansha's official website, which publishes the series in English.

A Couple of Cuckoos Release Date, New Trailer, and More

The A Couple of Cuckoos anime website revealed that the series would release on April 23, 2022. The anime series will be broadcast on TV Asahi network's "NUMAnimation" programming block. In addition to the news, Crunchyroll has also confirmed that the platform will simulcast the series! According to the announcement, Crunchyroll will make the series available for users in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS territories as it airs in Japan.

"Mixed up with another family's child as a baby, high school student Umino Nagi is finally meeting his biological parents. On the day of their meeting, he happens to encounter Amano Erika, a high school student at a prestigious and wealthy girls school. At her request, he's half-forced into pretending to be her boyfriend so she can avoid marrying her fiance....However, not only were they the babies who had been mixed up, they're also engaged to each other!

The loving parents of both families officially recognize their engagement, and the couple begins living together. Nagi is in love with his classmate Segawa Hiro, and Erika is determined to rebel against her father, so the couple agree not to get involved with each other.
