New shows are always exciting to watch because they try to bring in a new flavor that's in contrast to what we've seen so far. Well, if you want to be prepared to watch Grand Hotel live online on ABC, we've got your back.
Grand Hotel is a new show that's landing on ABC in June and is produced by Eva Longoria. The show features Demián Bichir as Santiago Mendoza, a hotel owner in Miami Beach. His wife Gigi, played by Roselyn Sanchez, and children enjoy the successful life, as guests pour into the hotel. Since the show is based on a Spanish series called Gran Hotel, you can expect heaps of drama, secrets, and more.
The show will premiere on June 17 and will air on Mondays at 10/9c on ABC. Let's go ahead and learn all about what you can do to watch the show.
Yes, that's a possibility. ABC has a live stream on its website, but you need to log into your account there. In order to actually get access to the live stream, you need to associate a cable provider account, or a live TV platform, to prove you're paying to watch ABC somewhere. That being said, if you want to cut the cord, you have loads of options, and you can watch the show live directly on those platforms.
Nowadays, we use the Internet for anything and everything, so why not also use it to watch TV when the benefits are so many? Cable has become quite expensive, so people are naturally looking for cheaper options and live TV platforms are exactly that. On top of that, they can be customized to some extent, whereas that's nearly impossible with cable. Plus, if you want to switch platforms, you can do that in a heartbeat since there's no contract to tie you down; you just cancel your subscription and move on. The best part, however, is that you're no longer tied to your home - you can watch wherever you are when the show starts, as long as you have a compatible device that's connected to the Internet. Let's see what options you have.
Hulu - We're kicking off our list with Hulu, which is a great platform that's been around for a long time, making people happy. Now, they also have a live TV plan that's only $44.99 per month and grants you access to dozens of channels, including ABC, as well as the full VOD library to top it off. If you want to customize the service, you can do that by adding premium networks and a couple of channel packs. Read up on our Hulu review to find out more.
YouTube TV - Next, we have YouTube TV. This one is a pretty simplistic platform with a single bundle of channels for only $40 per month. The list of channels does include ABC so you can watch Grand Hotel and any other ABC shows. If you want to customize the service, you should know that YouTube TV only features premium networks and no channel packs. Read up on our YouTube TV review to find out more about the service, particularly those really cool perks they have.
DirecTV Now - We also have DirecTV Now on the list, which is a service that now features seven bundles. Two of these bundles are new - Plus and Max - and they come with HBO integrated, while Max also has Cinemax. The old plans got a new name and a new price that's double than what it used to be - Entertainment, Choice, Xtra, Ultimate, and Optimo Mas. You can find ABC in all seven bundles, so you can watch the new show no matter which one you end up choosing. When it comes to customization, you've got plenty of options - two Spanish-language channel packs, three international packages, and several premium networks. Find out all about it in our DirecTV Now review.
PlayStation Vue - Following up next, we have PlayStation Vue, a service that we particularly fell in love with when we reviewed it. ABC is part of all four bundles available here, namely Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra. You can add a couple of channel packs, as well as some premium networks. The best part, however, comes in the form of the perks subscribers can enjoy, and you can read all about those in our PlayStation Vue review.
Across the United States, there are numerous channels that don't work everywhere. In fact, there are quite a few of these and if you live in the "wrong" city, you won't get to watch any of them, such as it happens in numerous Alaskan cities, for instance. Now, the thing is that live TV platforms also suffer from the same problem. They know where you are by reading your IP address and they deliver you local channels in accordance to that. Well, if you were to have a different IP address, you'd get to watch the channels pertaining to that area. Lucky for you, it's very easy to change your IP address if you have a VPN. Here's what you need to do.
Yes, that's absolutely possible. TV antennas can be used to watch over-the-air channels, including ABC. They've been the go-to solution for many cord cutters before online platforms were even on the market. They have some advantages, such as the fact that you only pay for the actual antenna and then watch TV for free. But you only get to enjoy a few channels, and that might deter many from taking this step.
What you can do, however, is visit a site like NoCable before you make a decision. There, you can check what channels broadcast over the air in your location and see how strong their broadcast signal is. This will help you decide if cutting the cord and switching to an antenna is the right solution for you, and if it is, it will help you pick the right range for your device. We've made a suggestion for you in the form of a great antenna that has some awesome reviews, but you can research your own, of course.
Well, at this point, the show hasn't even aired yet, but when it does you'll be able to check out the latest episodes straight on the ABC website. If you're lucky, they'll also upload the episodes over on Hulu, but that remains to be seen.
Also, if you'd rather buy the episodes or the entire series, you can do that from a wide range of platforms, including Amazon Prime, YouTube, Google Play, Vudu, iTunes, and Microsoft Store. Of course, since the show hasn't aired yet, we don't have the links yet, but as soon as they go live, we'll update the article.
Now, we'd love to find out what platform you chose to watch Grand Hotel on, so please drop us a note in the comments section below. Share the article online if you have the time and follow TechNadu on Facebook and Twitter for more tech news, guides, reviews, and interviews.
