With Apple fans complaining about faulty displays and motherboards on older MacBook Pro devices, the tech giant seems to be ditching the current design of its laptops completely. The upcoming MacBook Pro devices will feature a complete overhaul in design according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

According to a research note obtained by MacRumors, the new lineup will offer displays varying from 16 and 16.5 inches which is a huge step up from the 15” lineup. Apple will also offer a 13” MacBook for users looking for a smaller portable computer. With the 15” laptops being put out of commission we may finally see the 13” MacBook offer up to 32 GB of RAM.

A complete redesign means that this will be the first time Apple makes significant changes since the introduction of the Touch Bar in 2016 on some models. The current design has not been very popular due to the large number of hardware issues that users have complained about.

Rumors also suggest that Apple will be releasing a new Mac Pro with upgradeable components. The desktop Macs never offered much when it comes to post-purchase upgrades, and that is set to change. Apple themselves have confirmed the change in the past.

It is also rumored that Apple is working on a 31.6” 6K display. The tech giant has produced monitors in the past, but it discontinued its Thunderbolt display monitor in 2016 and sanctioned the 27-inch LG UltraFine 5K to take its place. The company is known for high pixel density displays for nearly all of its products, and the Mac Pro will be no different. Aside from the MacBook Pro and Mac Pro devices, Apple is also expected to launch a myriad of accessories for users including an AirPower charging mat, wireless AirPods with charging cases and more.
