
Avengers: Endgame premiered six years ago and left a void in the hearts of MCU fans that hasn’t been filled till now. During a nearly five-and-a-half-hour livestream, Marvel Studios tried to hype up their next Avengers film, titled Avengers: Doomsday, with a cast announcement.
While it certainly didn’t feel like the anticipation that Avengers: Infinity Wars created once upon a time, but fans were ecstatic to know which characters and actors were going to be a part of the film. In this article, we will reveal the full cast and character list, so you don’t have to watch chairs on a live stream for hours.
During the livestream, it was revealed that the Avengers: Doomsday cast would have MCU mainstays, actors from the now-defunct X-Men universe (from 20th Century Fox), and also from the upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps film. The following is the announced cast:
It’s interesting that Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), and more were excluded from the Avengers: Doomsday cast list. However, more cast members could still be announced. But it’s currently unclear when that will happen.
Robert Downey Jr. (Doctor Doom) has already been announced. The film, which is now in production, will be directed by the Russo Bros., who are currently receiving some criticism from fans for their current Netflix venture, The Electric State, being poor.
Doomsday’s current release date is May 1, 2026, while the follow-up film, Avengers: Secret Wars is marked for release on May 7, 2027.
