Want to know everything about Avatar: Seven Havens? In this article, we will discuss all we know about the upcoming series. Also, stay tuned as this is a developing story and we will keep updating this article with the latest information when available.
At the time of writing, a release date for Avatar: Seven Havens hasn’t been revealed yet. Also, a release window hasn’t been unveiled as well. The series is probably in its infancy and it will be a long time (possibly at least 2026) before we see anything.
Avatar: Seven Havens will have a 26-episode run stretching over two seasons, which will be called Book 1 and Book 2. Each episode will last roughly half-an-hour.
The official synopsis for Avatar: Seven Havens states, “A world shattered by a devastating cataclysm. A young Earthbender discovers she’s the new Avatar after Korra – but in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity’s destroyer, not its savior.”
The synopis further states, “Hunted by both human and spirit enemies, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization’s last strongholds collapse.”
It’s interesting that the new series will explore a post-apocalyptic setting, something which hasn’t been done in the Avatar universe before. Also, this synopsis raises questions about what happened to Korra that left the world in almost ruins.
The cast hasn’t been announced yet.
A trailer isn’t here yet and won’t be for quite some time. But we will update this space when it gets released.
Avatar series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will return to helm the project. Ethan Spaulding who directed 12 episodes of the first series will return as an executive producer. Sehaj Sethi (Two Sentence Horror Stories) is also an executive producer on the series.
DiMartino and Konietzko said in a press release, “When we created the original series, we never imagined we’d still be expanding the world decades later. This new incarnation of the Avatarverse is full of fantasy, mystery, and a whole new cast of amazing characters. Get ready to take another epic and emotional adventure!” (via Variety)
Ramsey Naito, president of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation said, “For two decades, the richly crafted world of Avatar: The Last Airbender has introduced audiences to a world of compelling characters and groundbreaking storylines, captivating fans globally. We can’t wait to embark on the next chapter of this epic saga, with a new story set within the Avatarverse, envisioned by the original creators, Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko.”
