Reacher Season 3 Episode 3 Ending Explained: Reacher’s new Status, a tall tale, and more

Reacher season 3 is here and the show has dropped the first three episodes of its newest season. The show begins with Reacher helping a troubled young man, which begins his new mission. But what happens at the end of the first batch of episodes? In this article, we will discuss what happens at the end of episode 3 and how that hints at what's to come next.

How does Reacher Season 3 Episode 3 end?

At the end of Reacher season 3 episode 3, Jack dropped Richard off at his house and then went to meet Zachary Beck and Duke. They headed to a remote DEA house mentioned in Angel Doll’s e-mail. It was claimed that this safe house was the last known location of the group that had taken Richard. 

At the safe house, Reacher turned on Duke and forced him to drop the gun. Then he tried to get information from him about Teresa Justice. But when Duke refused to reveal anything, saying that he was afraid of Julius McCabe, Reacher killed him. He also injured himself and fired multiple rounds. 

Additionally, he also blew up the safe house to make it seem like there was a violent confrontation. Reacher then met Zachary and told him a fake story about how Angel Doll, Squire, and Ballinger were the ones who kidnapped Richard. 

As for Duke’s death, he said that this trio killed him and threw a grenade to finish the job. Zachary accepted this version of events since Julius McCabe, his boss, had kidnapped and tortured Richard before. Moreover, since Reacher had saved Richard’s life before, so Zachary made him his new right-hand man. 

How will this Affect the rest of the Season?

Now that Reacher is closer to Zachary, he will have access to more of their enterprise’s sensitive information. With the way this season is shaping up, it looks like Jack is going to turn Zachary against McCabe and use that chaos to take down the evil enterprise while probably saving Theresa as well.
