NordVPN seems to be among the fastest-developing VPN providers, recently introducing features like NordWhisper, its own VPN protocol, and the ability to detect fake online shops, among many other new features. Despite developing new features and refining existing ones, the VPN provider still covers all the basics. That said, NordVPN has announced that its no-logs policy has just been reviewed for the fifth time.

Deloitte Audit Lithuania conducted the most recent audit between November 18th and December 20th, 2024. The audit included interviews with NordVPN employees and inspections of relevant IT systems (including standard and double VPN servers, obfuscated servers, onion-over-VPN servers, and P2P servers). Deloitte also reviewed the servers' configuration, deployment processes, and relevant privacy settings and procedures.

The purpose of the audit was to ensure that NordVPN is in full compliance with its no-logs policy. More precisely, NordVPN claims to collect only minimal user information, which includes your email address, encrypted password, basic billing information, and other history. Furthermore, this provider doesn’t store your incoming or outgoing traffic, user or destination IPs, browsing history, amount of data transferred, or anything else that could point to what you do online while connected to a NordVPN server.

Deloitte confirmed that all the statements made by NordVPN are following the VPN provider’s claims. In simpler terms, you can rest assured that NordVPN doesn’t have a way to track your traffic or see what you do online.

In conclusion, our team believes that NordVPN is among the most capable VPN providers overall. In addition to respecting your privacy, which any no-logs VPN should adhere to, this VPN offers an army of worldwide servers, incredible speeds, the ability to bypass geo-blocks and firewalls, and the assurance that you’re not tracked online.

NordVPN’s first audit was conducted in 2018, followed by audits in 2020, 2022, and 2023. Additionally, the provider has gone through separate no-logs, penetration-testing, and mobile app audits over the past seven years. Considering the provider’s dedication to proving its no-logs claims and willingness to be audited by third-party cyber-security companies, NordVPN seems to be one of the rare VPNs that deserve the trust of its subscribers.

NordVPN subscribers can access the full report of the latest audit by logging into their NordAccount profile and clicking the “Reports” tab in their user dashboard.
