Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episodes 3, 4 and 5: Recap and Ending Explained

In the first two episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man we found out that Norman Osborn had figured out Spider-Man’s identity. So, what happens next in the tale which takes place in an alternate universe from the MCU? In this article, we will discuss what happened in episodes 3, 4 & 5. 

What Happened in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 3?

In episode 3 of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Secret Identity Crisis, Norman invites Peter to dinner where he tells him that he knows that he’s Spider-Man. But instead of causing harm, he wants to help Peter become a better hero after he helped save his son, Harry. When two villains, Maria "Tarantula" Vasquez and James "Speed Demon" Sanders attack the city with mysterious tech he helps Peter defeat them. 

It’s interesting that the tech the two villains were using had the same logo on them as the gloves that were worn by Butane. Also, Lonnie joins the 110th St. gang in exchange for his brother Andre being left alone. 

What Happened in Episode 4?

In episode 4, Hitting The Big Time, Norman reveals to Peter that he wants to create a better generation of heroes than the ones that are there, with Spider-Man as the foundation. They try out different variations of the suit and settle on one which is mostly white and black with red and blue accents. It seems very similar to the Future Foundation suit. 

Lonnie’s situation worsens when he gets caught in the fight between the 110th St. gang and The Scorpions, who are their rivals. They are led by Carmilla Black and Mac Gargan. On the other hand, Dmitri Smerdyakov, Mikhail Sytsevich & Roxanna Volkov get arrested. 

However, Mila Masaryk is able to escape and then gets the weapons to Otto Octavius aka Doctor Octopus. The episode ends with a bang- Harry Osborn finds out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man.

What Happened in Episode 5?

In episode 5, The Unicorn Unleashed, it’s revealed that Otto Octavius is selling his inventions to criminals because he believes that he is as smart as Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, or Norman Osborn, and wants recognition for his work. It’s likely that he will create more villains for Spider-Man to fight. 

As expected, he gives a helmet to Mila Masaryk, making her The Unicorn. This gives her enhanced strength, speed, and also the ability to shoot lasers. Meanwhile, Harry and Peter become friends and Norman tells him to function as Peter’s remote guidance in his absence. 

Mila uses the tech she got from Otto to break her friends out of prison. However, Spider-Man arrives and puts a stop to these plans. Dmitri and Roxanna flee, but Mikhail stays back with Mila. During the fight, Mikhail saves Spidey’s life from Unicorn’s attack. This was probably to return the favor after the hero saved him from Mila's laser. But he makes it clear that he’s not an ally before he and Mila get arrested. 

Also, the 110th St. gang gets into a fight with the Scorpions where Lonnie saves Big Donovan's life. Impressed with this, Big Donovan gives Lonnie a nickname- Tombstone. In the comics, Lonnie Lincoln is a New York crime boss out of 110th St. who is also known as Tombstone. He ends up leading the gang and has enhanced strength and invulnerability which he gains from a toxic gas that changes his skin.
