The Chase: Players win one of the Largest Payout in show History!

In a historic episode of The Chase, contestants Karen and Ian secured one of the largest payouts in the show's history. In this article, we will reveal how much they took home and how did they win it all. 

How much did The Chase Players win?

Karen and Ian triumphed over chaser Paul Sinha, walking away with a staggering £100,000 prize after an intense final chase. The tension mounted as Sinha, known as "The Sinnerman," was just one correct answer away from victory. 

Host Bradley Walsh asked, "Lesley Manville played the widow Cathy in what BBC sitcom?" However, Sinha’s incorrect guess, "Last of the Summer Wine," gave Karen and Ian a slim opportunity to take the prize. Despite their error, confusing sitcoms with soaps, they couldn’t secure the point. 

With time running out and both teams fumbling, Karen and Ian emerged victorious, leaving them in shock. Bradley Walsh remarked on the near miss, saying: "That was close. Six attempts to push back, only two executed. The chaser needed one." 

Karen, overwhelmed by the moment, whispered, “Oh my God!” as the reality of their £100,000 win set in. The pair split the amount, taking home £50,000 each. This win ranks as one of the largest in The Chase's history. In 2023, the biggest win saw three contestants share a £120,000 prize, each receiving £40,000. 

A notable individual win occurred in 2018 when Eden secured £75,000, making history with the largest single-player payout after a remarkable 18-step lead against chaser Darragh Ennis.
