Until Dawn film’s First Look Brings the game to life with a Major time loop Twist!

Until Dawn is a beloved interactive drama horror game that was released in 2015. So, when it was announced that it’s coming to the big screen, fans were ecstatic! Now, the first look of the film has been released and we are finally getting to know how the makers have changed things from the original game while keeping the mechanics the same.

What does the First Look Teaser of Until Dawn Reveal?

The First Look teaser begins with Gary Dauberman, a writer and producer of the movie saying that they wanted to give audiences something different rather than just rehash what was there in the game. David F. Sandberg, the director, also says that while the film has the same tone and vibe. it will expand upon the universe. 

So, how did the makers enhance the experience of the viewers while keeping the feel of the game the same?

Sandberg said, “One of the creative things the game did is that people make different choices and die in different ways. The movie has this mechanic where things start over and then they (the characters) get to try again. Every time they come back to life, it’s like they are in a new horror genre. To survive, they have to make it until dawn.”

This is the synopsis Sony has released:

"One year after her sister Melanie mysteriously disappeared, Clover and her friends head into the remote valley where she vanished in search of answers. Exploring an abandoned visitor center, they find themselves stalked by a masked killer and horrifically murdered one by one…only to wake up and find themselves back at the beginning of the same evening. Trapped in the valley, they're forced to relive the nightmare again and again - only each time the killer threat is different, each more terrifying than the last. Hope dwindling, the group soon realizes they have a limited number of deaths left, and the only way to escape is to survive until dawn."
