Speaking about the festive show, Joel shared his excitement, saying, "It's such a great show, and I love that it’s become part of people's traditions. Families gather for a meal and enjoy The Masked Singer—it's joyous and for all ages."Â
He also expressed his excitement about having comedy duo French and Saunders on the panel, reminiscing about his childhood memories of watching them together. But this year, Joel takes things to a whole new level. For the first time in the show's history, producers surprise Joel with an iconic Masked Singer doppelganger—Giant Joel!Â
Inside the giant mask is a beloved celebrity, and it's up to the panel and viewers to guess who’s hiding behind the oversized head. However, viewers will have to wait until the new series kicks off on Jan. 4, 2025, at 7 pm to see who’s inside the Giant Joel costume.
Joel joked about his new look, saying, "When I first saw it, I thought, ‘Is my nose really that shape?’ But everyone confirmed it is... and your teeth are that big!" Despite the fun, Joel’s wife has made it clear that the giant mask can't stay at home, so he might have to invest in a bigger house to store it!
