The White Lotus season 3 teaser begins with Lalisa Manobal (aka K-pop star Lisa) welcoming a brand new group of guests to The White Lotus in Thailand. Then, Belinda (Natasha Rothwell), who was first seen as the spa manager in season one, reveals what brought her on this vacation. 

She says, “I'm on an exchange program. I'm starting to feel like something good's gonna come outta this.” Victoria Ratliff (Parker Posey), a rich woman vacationing with her husband Timothy (Jason Isaacs) and their kids says, “Someone stole my Lorazepam. I'm going to have to drink myself to sleep.”

This seems to be a better explanation of what’s going to happen this season and furthering this sentiment is another character saying, “Everyone runs from pain towards pleasure. But they get there only to find… more pain.” Check out the trailer below:

What is the plot of The White Lotus Season 3?

The White Lotus season 3 takes viewers from the Italian coast to Southeast Asia as a new group comes to vacation in Thailand. In an interview with People magazine, creator Mike White explained that the third season will lean more into a satirical exploration of Eastern religion.

He said, “The first season we highlighted money, and then the second season is sex, and I think the third season, it would be maybe a kind of satirical and funny look at death in Eastern religion and spirituality — it feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”

The third season will include an actress, a misfit, a country club wife, some mothers, a yogi, a patriarch, and a female corporate executive. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, White said that this season will be bigger than ever before. He said, “It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing … I’m super excited about the content of the season.”
