What is The Crow Girl About?

The Crow Girl begins with the chilling discovery of a teenage boy's body, marking the start of a tense investigation. DCI Jeanette Kilburn and her partner, DI Lou Stanley, are tasked with tracking down the elusive killer. The case intensifies as more unidentified young men are found dead, their bodies bearing signs of brutal violence and traces of the anesthetic lidocaine.

With mounting pressure and little evidence, Kilburn seeks help from Dr. Sophia Craven, the psychotherapist of a key suspect, Carl Lowry. Craven's insights lead Kilburn into a harrowing world of historic abuse, systemic corruption, and decades-old crimes that have been ignored.

As the investigation unfolds, Kilburn and Craven form an unexpected bond, navigating the dark depths of the murders while the killer grows bolder, inching dangerously close to their lives.

Amid rising body counts and relentless twists, The Crow Girl explores the complexities of justice, morality, and human connection against a backdrop of hidden truths and buried secrets.

The series The Crow Girl is produced by Buccaneer Media and distributed internationally by ITV Studios. It marks Milly Thomas's debut in a major television writing role. Known for her acting credits in The Crown and Sex Education, Thomas adapted the bestselling novel by Erik Axl Sund for the screen and penned four out of the six episodes.
