The Great British Baking Show 2024 has a new winner! This nine episode season was full of delightful and thematic baking challenges, but in the end, out of all the initial twelve contestants, only one emerged as the winner.
In the finale, only three contestants were left and to win the final prize, all had to bake something that was almost-impossible at first glance. It was a true test of mettle and skill, and only one came out having proved themselves. In this article, we will reveal the winner’s name and discuss what made their baked goods better than the rest’s.Â
Who is the Winner of The Great British Baking Show 2024?
Georgie Grasso, the 34-year-old pediatric nurse from Carmarthenshire, U.K. is the winner of The Great British Baking Show 2024. She is also the first winner from Wales in the competition’s 15-year history. Grasso was competing against Christiaan de Vries and Dylan Bachelet.Â
In the finale, judges Hollywood and Prue Leith gave the finalists three baking assignments- the signature challenge of baking British scones, a technical challenge where the bakers must follow a new recipe given on the spot, and a show-stopper challenge of making hanging, tiered cakes.Â
It was Grasso’s lemon and elderflower cake with strawberry and champagne confit that won her the competition.
