The shocking wedding and baby drama continues on EastEnders. Things are heating up between Stacey Slater, Ruby Allen, and Martin Fowler as the baby plot gains traction between the three. On the other hand, Elaine Peacock does a scandalous thing to test her husband-to-be George Knight’s loyalty.Â
In this article, we will discuss what happened between all these characters and what can happen in the next week’s episode. Â
This week’s episode showed Martin Fowler getting a piece of shocking news from Sharon, that he has a son with his ex-wife Ruby that he had no idea about. But Ruby informed Martin that the baby was adopted when she got out of prison.Â
However, Martin and Stacey discovered that this was a lie by Ruby. Instead, the son, Roman, was in a hospital due to autoimmune hepatitis. Later on, it was revealed that the boy was originally admitted due to a paracetamol overdose.Â
This made Martin decide that Ruby wasn’t the right caretaker for Roman and he informed Stacey that he was going to apply for full custody. That’s not all. The hospital informed them that Roman could need a liver transplant. Ruby wasn’t eligible but Martin turned out to be a match. So, he could help his son.Â
Martin also decides that he will ensure that his name gets on Roman’s birth certificate.Â
Next week, Martin and Stacey argue about his plans regarding Roman and Ruby since Stacey isn’t sure that they will work. On the other hand, Martin offers to help keep a watch over Roman at the hospital as Ruby goes to Walford to tidy up. She meets Stacey at a café, and the former best friends turned enemies will surely have a lot to say to each other.Â
On the eve of Elaine Peacock and George Knight’s wedding, something goes wrong. Elaine lays a honey trap for George with Cindy’s help to see if he could be tempted by his ex-wife. When Cindy and George find themselves alone, she makes the move to kiss.Â
Eventually, Cindy tells George about Elaine’s scheme which leads to him storming off. As the wedding day comes near, it's unclear whether the two will even get on the altar to exchange their vows. To make matters worse, Cidy’s affair with Junior Knight persists.Â
But when Kojo Asare, George’s brother, catches them together, his suspicion grows. Cindy tries to silence him and this lands him in the hospital. So, will Cindy admit to her actions?
EastEnders airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30 p.m. on BBC One. It also streams on BBC iPlayer.Â
