Plot

In Netflix's unique reality show, Love Is Blind, singles embark on an emotional journey, dating within “pods” where they converse freely without seeing each other. The goal is to form deep connections free from physical attraction, leading to proposals before the couples meet face-to-face. After the engagement, couples finally see each other, and the series follows their relationship as they decide whether to marry.

Season eight brings a new setting, Minneapolis, marking the show's return to the Midwest since season two in Chicago. In a first for the series, Netflix introduced a few season eight singles during the season seven reunion. Filmed in early 2024, this season has generated local buzz, with sightings of the film crew and casting calls drawing hopeful singles.

Will Nick & Vanessa Lachey Return as the Hosts of Love Is Blind?

Yes, Nick and Vanessa Lachey will be back to host Love Is Blind season eight. They have hosted every season of the US version of the show and will continue their role from the previous seven seasons. They’ll guide the singles through their journey in the pods, and be present during key milestones like pre-honeymoon events, wedding attire fittings, and reunions.

Cast

Netflix has given fans a sneak peek at three of the singles set to appear in Love Is Blind season eight, introducing Alex, Brittany, and Joey during the season seven reunion—marking a first for the series.

These three cast members from the upcoming season briefly joined the audience and shared some early thoughts. Alex opened up about the dating scene in Minneapolis, describing it as a "small community" where you tend to see familiar faces. He mentioned prioritizing work, friends, and travel over dating, which contributed to his search for "the one."

While Alex was the only one to share details, neither Joey nor Brittany revealed more about their experience. The rest of the season eight cast has yet to be announced, but with the show’s premiere approaching, more updates should arrive soon.

Where is Love is Blind Season 8 Taking Place?

Season eight of Love is Blind will be based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area. Netflix confirmed the new location, marking the show’s first move to the Midwest. The Lacheys officially revealed the location during the season seven reunion.

In previous seasons, Love is Blind has explored cities across the US, including Washington, D.C. (Season 7), Charlotte (Season 6), Houston (Season 5), Seattle (Season 4), Dallas (Season 3), Chicago (Season 2), and Atlanta (Season 1).

Which Couples are Still Together from Love is Blind Season 7?

As of the latest Love is Blind season seven reunion in October 2024, two couples who married on the show—Garrett and Taylor, and Tyler and Ashley—are still together and going strong. These two pairs have reportedly maintained their relationships for over a year, with both couples navigating post-show life successfully.

In contrast, the other couples did not find lasting success. Marissa and Ramses ended their engagement, partly due to conflicting energies, and Hannah and Nick’s breakup was intense, highlighted by drama and mutual accusations at the reunion.

Both Marissa and Hannah have since focused on personal growth, with Hannah reflecting on her own communication style and time spent working on herself. Meanwhile, Ramses and Marissa’s split was particularly emotional, with Marissa’s mother even confronting Ramses during the reunion.

Several other cast members, including Stephen, Leo, Tim, and Alex, are also single, each sharing insights into what went wrong and their hopes for the future as they focus on personal goals and self-improvement.
