Plot

Is This the same Daredevil as the Netflix Series?

Charlie Cox, who portrays Matt Murdock, has addressed these concerns, explaining that it’s the same character but with a shift in tone due to the different worlds. He highlighted that the grittiness of the Netflix series reflected Murdock’s pressures at the time, while the MCU’s lighter, humorous approach allowed Daredevil to adapt without losing his essence.
Cox said, “The Matt Murdock from the Netflix show... Most of the time, we were living with a man who had a huge amount of pressure and strain. When I came over to do Spider-Man and She-Hulk, the tone was much more lighthearted... so the hope was that Matt can fit into that world and participate in it without it being a different character.”
Is Daredevil: Born Again Continuing the Story from Marvel’s Daredevil?

Behind the Scenes
Daredevil: Born Again has undergone significant changes in its development. Initially, Matt Corman and Chris Ord were set to write and serve as executive producers for the series. However, following a major creative overhaul, Marvel introduced Dario Scardapane, known for The Punisher, as the new showrunner. Corman and Ord shifted to executive producer roles.
The episodes now have a mix of directors, with Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead stepping in to direct the remainder after the original vision was scrapped.
