Release date & Where to Watch

Disney has officially approved 40 new episodes of the series, set to air on Disney Channel and Disney+ in 2025.

Plot

Disney+ is set to revive Phineas and Ferb as a continuation of the beloved animated series, serving as a fifth season with a new 40-episode run. This series will pick up one year after the original, launching a new summer filled with inventive adventures and musical sequences.

The creative team, including co-creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, has expressed excitement about exploring fresh storylines they've wanted to tell for years. They emphasized that the energy from a mix of returning and new writers has invigorated the writing process, allowing them to create episodes that capture the spirit of the original series while bringing a new perspective.

Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher will again embark on ambitious projects during their 104 days of summer vacation while their determined sister, Candace, tries harder than ever to catch them in the act. Meanwhile, their pet platypus, Perry, will continue his double life as the suave secret agent Agent P, thwarting the schemes of the inept villain Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

Throughout the new season, fans can expect their favorite elements from the original series, including clever humor, imaginative escapades, and catchy musical numbers. The revival promises to maintain the charm that made Phineas and Ferb a significant part of Disney Channel's animated lineup while introducing exciting new adventures for both old and new fans.

Voice cast

Martella expressed his enthusiasm for the series' return, saying, “We always heard rumors that something might happen because we have such a fantastic fan base for the show. But it’s hard to believe that something like this would actually occur, especially after finishing a project. It’s quite rare to get the opportunity to come back and do new seasons of a show.”

During the panel, the cast expressed their deep appreciation for the series. Tisdale shared, “It's my favorite job,” while Stoner chimed in, “And I'm not just saying that because I want to stay hired.” Marsh revealed that Rhea frequently called the producers after running into fellow actors to pitch them as potential guest stars.

Martella reflected on the show’s significance, stating, “This has definitely been the most important thing I've ever worked on. It means a lot to me that so many people are here and still love this show and these characters. Phineas has been a part of my life for 17 years—longer than most things. That’s a long time to know someone.”

Is There a Trailer for Phineas and Ferb Season 5?

Not yet, but we’ll update this section as soon as we have more information.

Behind the Scenes

Co-creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh are excited about the fresh direction of the upcoming fifth season. Povenmire explained that while it feels new and elevated, the goal is to make the transition seamless. If viewers watch the fourth season, which concluded in 2015, alongside the new episodes, they shouldn’t notice a gap.

“We just want to give you the show you love, but with more energy,” Povenmire said, adding that the new season takes place one summer after the events of the last episode. He also revealed that the team is finally telling stories they’ve wanted to explore for years, including some episode ideas that have been in the works for a long time.

Povenmire also shared that the new songs might be their best yet, expressing confidence that fans will love the upcoming season. Marsh added that one of the most exciting aspects of returning is the opportunity to further explore characters they didn't fully delve into the first time around.
