Behind the Scenes

Black Rabbit, the highly anticipated limited series, features Jason Bateman and Jude Law as both stars and executive producers. Bateman, known for his work on Ozark and Air, will direct the first two episodes, while Laura Linney, his Ozark co-star, will helm the third and fourth episodes, marking a significant behind-the-scenes reunion.

The series is penned by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Zach Baylin, acclaimed for King Richard, and his wife, Kate Susman, who is making her screenwriting debut. Both are also executive producers, alongside Ben Jackson from Riff Raff Entertainment and a team that includes Andrew Hinderaker, Zac Frognowski, Justin Levy, David Bernon, and Erica Kay.

In addition to Bateman and Linney, Ben Semanoff, known for Ozark and Yellowjackets, will direct episodes five and six. Justin Kurzel, recognized for his work on Macbeth, will direct the final two episodes. The project signifies another collaboration in Bateman and Michael Costigan’s creative partnership with Netflix, established in July 2018. This partnership has produced numerous projects like Florida Man and Dark Wire.

Black Rabbit was announced in October 2022 and was developed by Aggregate Films, Riff Raff Entertainment, Youngblood Pictures, and Automatik Entertainment. The series promises to be a noteworthy addition to Bateman's portfolio, showcasing a blend of talent both in front of and behind the camera.
