Release date & Where to Watch
The original comedy series will premiere all eight half-hour episodes on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024. It will be available on Prime Video in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Uruguay, Venezuela, and India, and on Amazon Freevee in the US, UK, and Germany.
Plot
Inspired by the personal experiences of Emmy-nominated creator Vijal Patel, The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh follows the Pradeep family as they navigate their first months in America after moving from India.
The comedy show centers on patriarch Mahesh and matriarch Sudha as they adjust to their new life with their three kids—Bhanu, Kamal, and Vinod.
Told through flashbacks from an interrogation room, the family finds themselves in a series of comedic and surprising entanglements with their polar-opposite neighbors, leading to unexpected twists in their romantic, personal, and professional lives.

The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios. Patel created and wrote the series, and he also serves as showrunner and executive producer. Emmy winners Sara Gilbert and Tom Werner, along with Mandy Summers and Jordana Mollick, are his executive producers. Michael Showalter from Semi-Formal Productions also executive produces and directs the pilot.
