The 2024 CMA Awards nominations have been announced, and Morgan Wallen leads with seven nods, including Entertainer of the Year and four nominations for "I Had Some Help," his popular collaboration with Post Malone (Single of the Year, Song of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, and Music Video of the Year). Wallen is also nominated for Male Vocalist, and Musical Event (for his duet with Eric Church, “Man Made a Bar”).

Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton both received five nominations each. Lainey Wilson and first-time nominee Malone each received four nods. Other contenders for Entertainer of the Year include Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Stapleton, and Wilson, who won it last year.

Apart from Malone, other first-time nominees include Shaboozey for Best New Artist and Single of the Year for "Tipsy (A Bar Song)"; Riley Green, Ella Langley, Noah Kahan, Ernest, Nate Smith, Mitchell Tenpenny, Bailey Zimmerman, Zach Top, and the Red Clay Strays.

Kacey Musgraves has been nominated for the CMA awards for the first time in four years. She is up for Album of the Year for her latest album, "Deeper Well," and for Musical Event for her collaboration with Zach Bryan on "I Remember Everything." Additionally, she is in the running for Female Vocalist of the Year.

Beyoncé Snubbed

Beyoncé did not receive any nominations, despite having one of the biggest country hits of the year with Texas Hold 'Em. Her album "Cowboy Carter" and the single "Texas Hold 'Em" both reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and Hot Country Songs charts. This achievement made her the first Black woman to top the albums chart since its inception in 1964. Perhaps she was snubbed because she posted on Instagram, "This ain’t a country album…this is a Beyoncé album."

Other snubs this year include Scotty McCreery, Carrie Underwood, Midland, Zach Bryan, and Miranda Lambert.
