Walt Disney Is Conquering New Peaks With Over 100 Million Subscribers
Last updated September 24, 2021
After Walt Disney decided to end their partnership with Netflix and launch their own streaming service called “Disney+”, the California-based company has processed various ways to promote itself on the road to the 2019 launch. The latest step on this road is a partnership with Stan, a media streaming service that is touted as “Australia’s best”.
As good as Stan may be in terms of offering a friendly user interface, seamless 4K streaming, offline viewing options, and competitive prices, it had a huge gap in blockbuster and animated movies. That said, their collaboration with Disney will hit the nail on the head, adding countless Disney classics such as Toy Story, Lion King, Cars, Finding Nemo, Wall-E, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Star Wars, Thor, Avengers, and a whole lot more. The new content is expected to be made available to Stan subscribers on December 14, and the company has released the following promo video to build up the viewers interest and lure more subscribers.

Stan will have to act fast on that part, redeeming the benefits of the Disney partnership as much as possible, since this isn’t likely to last forever. Walt Disney is still planning on launching their own Disney+ service, and Australia will be one of their target markets for sure. Considering the fact that new and original series and movies that are planned to be launched by Disney are not mentioned in the promo video, this partnership is most probably just a temporary stop on the road. However, and at this point, no one can say for sure really.
The Disney+ streaming platform is expected to be a dominant player in the corresponding market from day one, seeing Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime in the eyes as equal, if not even better. All this stems from the amazing content that is already available as a property of Disney, as well as the material that is about to come. One example of the most anticipated new content is “The Mandalorian” Star Wars series featuring Boba Fett and set after the events of “Return of the Jedi”.
