The Pirate Bay is no stranger to downtime, and the popular torrent website has seen quite a bit of downtime over the years. However, in the past few weeks, the website has been inaccessible to many users across the globe. No one is aware why so many users are having issues as there have been no reports of any blocks on the website from any major network. The website’s operators are currently investigating the issue but have been unable to come up with a solution or identify the source of the problem so far.

Many Pirate Bay users are greeted with a Cloudflare error page instead of the usual homepage. There are workarounds available, and users can simply use VPNs or proxies to get past the issue. It has been weeks since many users have been able to access the website and there might be something wrong internally.

According to website traffic tracking websites, direct access to The Pirate Bay’s homepage is down by 32%. The website is aware of the issues but has been unable to pinpoint to a specific reason. Many users believe that Cloudflare might be the culprit. The website’s name and DNS servers are functioning correctly even from locations that are unable to access the website.

One of the few plausible explanations is that one of the Internet backbone networks is causing trouble which is preventing Cloudflare from accessing The Pirate Bay in some locations, while it is working fine in others. There is currently no known location pattern as well as users from almost all regions are facing issues.
