Big Little Journeys is a new British nature documentary series that takes us into the extraordinary worlds of six tiny animals on a quest for food, family, and survival as they embark on the biggest journeys of their lives across rainforests, mountains, wetlands and overcome huge obstacles, giant predators, and natural disasters.

Big Little Journeys works with scientists and conservationists around the world and uses immersive camera systems, surveillance technology, and probe and borescope lenses that shrink the lens down to give a small animal’s view of the world. This way, the small animals are filmed in the same style as big animals.

In a small fragment of the Atlantic Forest in Brazil is a family of golden-headed lion tamarins. These tiny, endangered primates are unique to this area. With only 12% of their habitat remaining, mum, dad and their three boys need to move away from their old home in search of more food.
