Taiwanese white hat hacker Chang Chi-yuan claims that he will be hacking into Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s account and delete it permanently. Chi-yuan has 26,000 followers on Facebook, and he promised that he would be live streaming the process on Sunday at 3 AM local time.

Chang made the claims and backed it up posting screenshots of his conversation with Facebook and their negligence towards his bug reports. It is not the first time someone has made such a bold claim and has been successful. A hacker broke into Zuckerberg’s account in 2011.

Line Corp.’s Hall of Fame inducted him in 2016, and he is known for hacking into a local bus operator. The transport company had sued him for hacking into the system. Chang purchased a ticket from the system worth 1 Taiwanese dollar which amounts to approximately 3 US cents. Chang will be live streaming the ‘event’ on Sunday at 6 PM Taiwanese time which translates to 3 AM in San Francisco and 6 AM in New York.

The social media giant has not commented on the issue as of now, and it is unknown if the company will be taking measures to amp up the security of Mark Zuckerberg’s account. The legality of Chang’s feat is up in question and Facebook may take legal action against him if he is successful.

Facebook has been amidst a lot of controversies lately with political organizations and other authorities pointing out its negligence toward fake news and misinformation. The Cambridge Analytica scandal also hurt the company’s reputation, and a substantial number of people claim to have taken a break from the platform. WhatsApp has been criticized for fake news as well with lynching and deaths being caused due to WhatsApp forwards in India.
