Fox News Media-owned streaming platform Fox Nation will now be available as a premium add-on service on DirecTV. The company also plans to expand availability to DirecTV Stream later this year. Additionally, weather channel Fox Weather will be added to DirecTV Stream on March 29 for free with ads.
DirecTV has already begun offering Fox Nation, and customers can now add it for $5.99 per month. They are also providing a 60-day free trial as a special limited-time offer, the company said. If you're a DirecTV subscriber, you can search for Fox Nation on channel 1960, named "FOX NTN."
Subscribers can enjoy original series like Tucker Carlson Today, Tucker Carlson Originals, COPS, Crime Stories with Nancy Grace, and acquired content like the upcoming show Yellowstone: One-Fifty (hosted by Kevin Costner), Clint Eastwood: American Outlaw, and Grateful Nation, among others. You can also access Fox News Channel's primetime shows on-demand the next day with FOX News Primetime All the Time.
Fox Weather, which will also be added to DirecTV Stream, was launched last year. In addition to local, regional, and national coverage, it also offers live programming. Viewers can access Fox Weather through DirecTV Stream's Entertainment package. This will further add DirecTV Steam's local and regional content.
The distribution of Fox News Media's streamers across DirecTV platforms comes months after the satellite distributor revealed its intention to drop the far-right outlet One America News (OAN). This news was announced in January after reports surfaced that DirecTV's parent company AT&T was responsible for OAN's financial success, contributing to more than 90% of its total revenue. OAN is now suing DirecTV and AT&T for breach of contract, which was set to lapse in April.Â
