MMA fans get to enjoy a new bout, this time between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje. We're going to dive into things and see how we can follow the fight online.
UFC 254 will feature the biggest fight of the year thus far, the lightweight unification contest between Khabib and Gaethje. Nurmagomedov is the most dominant champion in UFC history, with a 28-0 record, losing a single round in his career - and that one was against "the" Conor McGregor.
Gaethje is also not a fighter to take things sitting down, so we're likely going to see an impressive clash inside the Octagon.
This is going to be a Pay-Per-View event, so prepare to shell out some money.
The event is going to take place on Yas Island, also known as Fight Island, since UFC set base there, and it's going to cater to UK prime time instead of the US.
That being said, it's easy to understand why the fights are going up earlier than we're used to.

Now that the fight is getting nearer, sportsbook entities are placing their bets. Sportsbook, for instance, listed Nurmagomedov as the favorite with -315 odds, while Gaethje is coming in as an underdog with +255 odds.
Sportsline also named Nurmagomedov as a favorite with -330 odds, while Gaethje has +270 odds.
If you're unfamiliar with betting for sports and this type of odds, you should know that they simply represent that for Numagomedov, if you'll bet $315 or $330, you'll win $100. For Gaethje, if you bet $100, you'll win $255 or $270, depending on where you place your bets.
Much like the sports betting companies we've seen thus far, experts are also predicting a win from Khabib. While they admit that Gaethje is truly an interesting and powerful opponent, they ultimately believe Khabib will win the fight. Talksport, for instance, talked to quite a lot of UFC pros, and the general consensus is that Nurmagomedov will take the win. As one said, if you're a betting man, you don't bet against Khabib.
The success of this fight will be decided on the ground, and it's a known fact that if you want to beat Khabib, you have to stay off your back. However, with his average of 5.35 takedowns per 15 minutes, managing to do that is going to be rather difficult. On the other hand, Gaethje has been wrestling since childhood and may be just the man who manages to escape Khabib's grasp.
At the official weight in before the big fight, both Khabib and Gaethje made the lightweight limit. Khabib walked up to the scale and hit the 155-pound limit. Gaethje followed up and managed to get the same results, also weighing in at 155 pounds.
