When it comes to manga and anime, everyone has favorites. Well, Black Clover is the favorite of many of our team members, and we're sure it's a favorite amongst yourselves too. That being said, we want to see how we can all watch Black Clover online, so let's jump on that.
The Black Clover anime is based on the same-named manga series that was written and illustrated by YÅ«ki Tabata. The story follows Asta, a young boy born without any apparent magical powers in a world where magic is the norm. The story is ongoing, as the manga continues to be published.
The manga was turned into an anime and released in 2017. Understandably, it has had immense success worldwide. Up until this point, there have been 142 episodes, but a few more are scheduled for release in the next couple of weeks.
Black Clover falls into the adventure and fantasy genres and is geared towards young teen males, but can basically be watched by anyone who's a fan of animes.
There are currently three seasons available, covering the manga's story so far. While a fourth season is in the plans, it remains to be seen when it will see the light of day.
The original show is in Japanese, but in 2017, Crunchyroll and Funimation have licensed the series and started dubbing the show to prepare it for release in the US. Therefore, we'll have two different start dates for each season.
The most recent season of Black Clover is the third one. In Japan, the show kicked off in October 2019, and it's ongoing. In the United States, the episodes started being streamed in February 2020.
They've announced 52 episodes thus far, and some are still scheduled to air.
Currently, there are no clear plans on when Season 4 will come out. As of now, the anime has pretty much caught up with the manga. So, there's a rumor that it's going to take a break so more manga can be released - therefore, more storyline for the anime to build on.
Watching Black Clover in order isn't that difficult since it doesn't have that many OVAs or movies, like a show as Naruto does. However, there are some things you should watch.
Luckily for you, Black Clover has only been around for a relatively short while and there are few episodes. If you want to watch the three seasons currently available of Black Clover, you'll need to spend 1 day, 18 hours, and 33 minutes. Of course, we do advise that you sleep a little, eat something, go out, and so on.
By the end of the third season, there will be 146 episodes to watch. In general, animes have filler episodes, which keep the anime from catching up to the manga and giving characters a back story.
Compared to other animes, Black Clover has only a few fillers. In fact, about 6% of the episodes are fillers. If you want, you can absolutely skip these, but you may want to watch them still given how few of them there are. The decision is yours.
Black Clover fillers: 29, 66, 68, 82, 123 - 125, 134, 135
