A little over a year ago, a North Carolina teenager was swimming in the ocean in waist-deep waters when a shark bit her. Now, on ABC, we're going to hear the terrifying story from Paige Winter herself.
The young lady, who was 17 at the time, was attacked while swimming close to the shore. She lost two fingers, and her left leg had to be amputated, but she has the will to move forward and not let this freak attack keep her down.
The story will be featured in a special on ABC in just a few days, including how the attack failed, how her father beat the shark until it let go and he could carry his daughter back to safety. Her total recovery and her life since then are going to be featured as well.
This special titled Shark Attack: The Paige Winter Story with Robin Roberts will air on Thursday, September 10th. You can watch it starting at 10 PM, on ABC.
