We're going on a new adventure with Disney+ as The One, and Only Ivan premieres on the platform. We're going to watch this new movie online, so let's see how you can do this!
The One and Only Ivan is a 2020 fantasy film that's based on the same-named children's novel signed by K. A. Applegate. The film brings in the big guns as the cast features Angelina Jolie, Hellen Mirren, Danny DeVito, Sam Rockwell, Chaka Khan, Bryan Cranston, and many others lending their voices.
This project was a long-time coming as the film was announced back in 2014, going into actual production in 2016, while filming started another two years later. Although it was originally intended to be a theatrical release, The One and Only Ivan is going straight to Disney+.

The film is landing on Disney+ on August 21st, 2020, and we're going to enjoy it online.
The One and Only Ivan is a Disney production, so it's going straight for Disney+. In order to watch the film, you'll need a subscription with Disney+, which will cost you $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year.
Endless entertainment from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. Always ad free. Download and Go. Stream Anywhere, Anytime. Exclusive Originals. Sign Up Now. Classic Favorites.
Disney+ is also available via bundle alongside Hulu and ESPN+ for $12.99 per month. The platform no longer features a free trial, so you won't be able to test it out before you buy it.
Subscribing to Disney+ involves providing your email address, your card details, and choosing which subscription plan you want - monthly or annually.
Disney+ has apps for pretty much any device you have - Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, Smart TVs, Chromecast, Android TV, Fire TV, Apple TV, PS4, Xbox One, Roku, and more.
The film follows Ivan, a silverback gorilla who lives at the Big Tip Mall. He performs alongside several animals. He gets help from an elephant named Stella to try and piece together his past, and they hatch a plan to escape captivity.
Unfortunately, the film is going exclusively to Disney+, so there won't be another way to stream it, at least for now. It also won't be available on TV on regular Disney channels. Since we discourage using illegal platforms, you're going to have to subscribe to Disney+ to watch. Since that's a cheap $6.99 for a month, less than you'd pay if you watched it at the theaters, we're going to say that's a good deal!
