There are two ways to use animoji on the iPhone X. You can create and send an animoji based on your facial expressions, or you can use it as a sticker. Continue reading to learn how to create an animated emoji and send it via the Messages app.
- Launch the Messages app and open a specific message. Click on the 'App Store' icon, above the keyboard and on the left side of the screen;
- Next, tap on the 'Animoji' button at the bottom of the screen.
- Pick an animoji from the left side of the screen by tapping and scrolling up or down;
- Now look straight into your iPhone X and place your face inside the frame;
- Tap on the Record button in the bottom-right corner of the screen. You are able of making animojis up to 10 seconds long;
- If you're happy with your animoji, use the 'Arrow Up' button - found at the same place where the Record button was previously located.

Create An Animoji Sticker
You can also send stickers based on your animoji of choice. These are applied to messages and aren't animated.
- Open the Messages app and create a new message thread;
- Tap on the 'App Store' icon above the virtual keyboard;
- Now tap on the 'Animoji' icon at the bottom of the screen;
- Make a facial expression, and then touch and hold the Animoji. Finally, drag it to your message.
