Plot

Wynonna Earp is a supernatural-horror Western series developed by Emily Andras, based on the comic book created by Beau Smith. The show originally aired on SyFy in the U.S. and follows Wynonna, the great-great-granddaughter of legendary lawman Wyatt Earp, as she battles demons and hellish creatures in the small town of Purgatory. Equipped with her ancestor's enchanted gun, Peacemaker, she is tasked with hunting down Revenants—outlaws Wyatt Earp once killed who have been resurrected due to a curse placed on the Earp family.

In the upcoming movie, Wynonna Earp: Vengeance, Wynonna faces her most personal battle yet. Instead of being hunted for her Earp lineage, this time, she must take on a villain with a deep, personal vendetta. The special, which will run for 90 minutes, brings Wynonna back to Purgatory to face this terrifying new foe, offering an air of finality that has fans eager to see how it all unfolds.

Where did the Wynonna Earp Finale Leave Everyone?

The finale showcased Waverly and Nicole's wedding, with the couple settling down at the homestead. Meanwhile, Wynonna goes after Doc as he leaves town, leading to a romantic reunion. The two then embarked on a road trip, likely making a stop to visit their daughter, Alice.

What is the Earp Curse?

In the series' lore, Wyatt Earp was cursed by a demon named Bulshar Clootie after killing his two sons. The curse brings back all of Wyatt's victims as revenants. The eldest descendant of the Earp family becomes The Heir upon turning 27, and only they can kill the revenants using Wyatt's gun, The Peacemaker. Each time the current Heir dies, the revenants are resurrected for the next in line.

Who Sings the Wynonna Earp Theme song?

The infectious theme song "Tell That Devil" is performed by Jill Andrews, who co-wrote the track with Emery Dobyns and Matthew Mayfield. Andrews' music has also appeared in shows like Grey's Anatomy, Teen Wolf, and The Originals.

Production kicked off earlier this year and has now wrapped. Tim Rozon, who portrays Doc Holliday in the series, shared a post on his Instagram during a table read ahead of filming.
