Plot
The Perfect Couple centers on Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson) as she prepares to marry into the wealthy and influential Winbury family on Nantucket. What begins as a grand high-society wedding, meticulously planned by the groom's mother, Greer Garrison Winbury (Nicole Kidman), quickly unravels when a corpse is found on the beach. The discovery turns the celebration into a gripping murder mystery, echoing the plotlines of Greer’s successful novels. As buried secrets emerge, suspicion and tension grip the Winbury clan, blurring the lines between fiction and reality.

When a body is found on the beach, the celebration quickly turns into a tense investigation, with everyone becoming a suspect. The trailer features interrogation scenes reminiscent of Big Little Lies and plays up the drama with an ironic soundtrack of “Can’t Take My Eyes off You.”

Where did The Perfect Couple get Filmed?
Filming took place from April to June 2023 in Massachusetts, with locations including Chatham, Eastward Point, Harwich, and various spots around Cape Cod. In September 2023, filming in Nantucket and Chatham faced disruptions due to picketing by striking SAG-AFTRA union members.
Behind the Scenes
Jenna Lamia (Good Girls, Awkward) adapted the novel and serves as the showrunner for the limited series, also executive producing alongside director Susanne Bier (Bird Box, The Undoing). Bier, an Emmy and Oscar winner, will direct all six episodes. Other executive producers include Shawn Levy of 21 Laps Entertainment (Stranger Things), Gail Berman and Hend Baghdady of The Jackal Group, Nicole Kidman and Per Saari of Blossom Films, and Josh Barry.
