Who is Michelle de Swarte?
Michelle de Swarte is a former catwalk model who has worked with leading fashion houses like Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Cartier, Michael Kors, and more. She later switched careers and tried her hand at stand-up comedy and acting. She played a supporting role in Netflix’s “The Duchess,” and the leading role in Sky/HBO’s “The Baby.”
Speaking about Spent in an interview, de Swarte said, “To have my first commission as a writer for the BBC seems like some sort of fever dream. The shows I watched growing up are like landmarks in my memory, so to be able to share a space with those shows in someone else's mind is more than I ever thought possible!”
